China has punished 649 companies for pollution
The State Environmental Protection Agency of China canceled or suspended the work of 649 firms and made a lot of warnings of the removal of violations, reported state media.
Agency began two months campaign to clear the rivers in July and has already collected as fines, $ 96 million for environmental pollution. According to the deputy head of department, the punishment is not an end in itself, most importantly to encourage managers to revise their approaches.
