Training Center
GVB's Training Center is located 70km outside Beijing in Yanqing County. Consisting of mountains, forests, springs and wetlands, the Training Center covers over 187 hectares of wilderness. As an NGO-managed conservation area, the goal of the center is to provide environmental education, consultation, and training programs to the public in a beautiful, natural environment.
Especially for students from outside of China the Training Center offers an atmosphere of living in a real Chinese environment. The hotel rooms are located in the heart of a little village and food is prepared by the villagers themselves. GVB welcomes every group interested in visiting the Training Center and experiencing nature and rural China.
As a non-profit, independent NGO project, the Environmental Training Center needs financial support from donors. A 50-year land lease has been secured through the donation of individual gifts. In addition, many GVB volunteers have contributed to the establishment of the Center. Nevertheless, continued support is necessary to maintain the environmental projects hosted in Yanqing.
